CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: MANAGER TRAINING PROGRAM

Call for applications for participation in the 8th session of the partnership program between Tunisian SMEs and German SMEs entitled “Manager Training Program”

For the year 2019

 

The Tunisian Ministry of Industry and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, in partnership with the

German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, have launched since 2014 a program

partnership between Tunisian Small and medium-sized Enterprises and their German counterparts entitled

“Manager Training Program”.

Since its launch, 135 Tunisian SMEs in different sectors of activity have benefited from

this program.

I- The main objectives of the program:

The main objective of the program is to allow Tunisian SME companies to enter into

direct contact with German companies operating in the same sector of activity or in other

sectors in order to achieve a win-win BtoB partnership.

The program will focus on three main components :

1- Technical and managerial training.

2- Visits to companies and specialized fairs.

3- Individual appointments or BtoB meetings.

The program provides participants with theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as

tools and techniques allowing them to succeed in the partnership project with German SMEs.

II- The criteria for participation in the program:

Resident Tunisian companies (SMEs) operating in the

industrial and service sector (related to industry, IT and Telecommunications).

Are not eligible for this program, companies of commerce, crafts, tourism,

real estate development, as well as individuals (Freelance).

In addition to belonging to the eligible sector, it is requested :

– A confirmed commitment of the SME to develop a partnership with companies

– (presentation of a requested partnership program project that justifies the need and the objective

of the company through this program).

– The proposed candidate must be at a level of responsibility and have sufficient powers

to discuss partnership opportunities on behalf of the company with German counterparts (head of

the company, technical, commercial, production manager, etc.).

– The candidate must have proven knowledge of English to conduct

negotiations (Individual oral interview with a jury composed of German experts in July 2019).

– Attend the preparation seminar (2 to 3 days) which will take place in Tunis at least 1 month before

departure to Germany (non-participation entails the automatic elimination of the candidate).

III- Duration and place of the program:

The program takes place in Germany in Stuttgart from October 14, 2019 until November 8

2019.

IV- Financing of the program:

– The German side will cover: The costs of accommodation in Germany,

travel within Germany for individual appointments with companies, Visits to

Fairs, stay and travel insurance (No per diem will be granted).

– The selected Tunisian company will cover: The costs of the international travel of

Tunisia to Germany will be taken care of by the company itself (Return plane ticket, stamp

travel expenses, VISA fees), as well as a contribution to the costs of designing and printing the catalog

intended for the promotion of companies.

– The successful candidate will be invited to take an oral interview in English for selection

final against a jury composed of German experts (July 2019).

NB: Only eligible candidates will be summoned to take the interview.
